Grand Tour of the British Museum

  • Purpose:
  • A faith-building tour that focuses on the main highlights of the British Museum. Visiting the Egyptian, Assyrian and Mesopotamian galleries, we share with you the very best artefacts in the museum that help us consider evidence of Bible characters, prophecies, events and places. Showing you some very famous historical artefacts, we build our faith in the accuracy and honesty of the Bible, and consider some of the origins of false worship.
  • Target Audience:
  • This tour is for Jehovah’s Witnesses, family, friends, and anyone with an interest in Bible history. The tour is designed for our guests who may only get to come to the British Museum once, and would like to see the real highlights and most important artefacts from a Biblical perspective. We will walk between various galleries on different floors with a small group of friends, often from around the world. This is our most popular tour.

  • Purpose:
  • Explore the British Museum and city with an experienced local JW guide. Starting with the Biblical history in the British Museum you will experience our famous 2-hour Grand Tour (see above). Then we will take a bus ride and guided leisurely tour through the most famous parts of London, ending our day with an inclusive boat trip on the Thames, all with commentary. You will see sights such as Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Tower of London, and many more.

  • Jehovah’s Witnesses and their friends who are looking for a comprehensive but compact tour and don’t want to miss out on anything in the city or museum. This tour is very popular and is a favourite for first time visitors and locals who want to know more about this incredible city.

  • Purpose:
  • Focusing on the Egypt & Assyrian gallery mostly, this tour explores in detail some of the beliefs and practices of these ancient cultures, that have since been adopted and adapted by modern religions. It shows the origins of many false religious customs that are very common today, featuring explanations of Christendom’s beliefs in Trinity, Cross, Christmas, Images and Regalia.

  • Anyone is welcome on this tour, interstingly many who have been looking for proof of the true religion have found this tour particularly fascinating.

  • Enjoy looking at evidence for the Divine Name here in the British Museum. We will show amazing secular artefacts on display using God’s name, and consider how they relate to different Bible accounts. See how God’s name has been misunderstood and mistreated by many, and also consider those who respected and praised His name. A fascinating tour that gives understanding to the real meaning of the Divine Name.

  • Purpose:
  • A fun tour with lots of interaction for children and parents alike. The main purpose of this tour is to prove that the Bible is accurate and Jehovah is real. We find that children really enjoy seeing actual artefacts from JW publications, movies, Caleb and Sophia videos, and other things that have a relevance to Bible stories. Every artefact is clearly explained relative to the age of the group, and the kids are normally excited by this fast paced tour with lots of different items.
  • Target Audience:
  • Children aged between 5-15. The tour can be adapted for the exact age group by our experienced team. An interactive worksheet can also be provided if requested. Most of our kids tours are for children of Jehovah's Witnesses but we have also arranged a version of this for many different school groups so please feel free to get in touch.
